Memorial Schedule and Logistical Information
Memorial Service Information
Date: Tuesday, March 12, 2013
Time: 6:00 p.m.
Location: Ouray County Fairgrounds Event Center, 22737 State Highway 550, Ridgway, Colorado
Media Staging Information
- Media arriving with large trucks or equipment arrive between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.
- Media report to staging area at entrance to 4-H Barn by 4 p.m. and meet with Public Information Officer (PIO) Micki Trost.
- All media must remain in the Media Staging information during the memorial service. The family has requested that no members of the media enter the building.

- At 5 p.m. Brian Scranton, Family Spokesperson, will provide an interview at the Media Staging Area.
- After the memorial service the family will use this site to release approved photos that they took during the memorial service and an audio recording of the memorial service.
Community Information
- Doors open to 4 H Facility at 5:30 p.m.
- Memorial Service held from 6:00-6:30 p.m.
- Food and Friends ( food provided by True Grit Cafe, Mountain Market and Panny's Pizza) from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
- Travel to Top of the Pines for Bonfire beginning at at 7:30 p.m.
- Bonfire: Let sparks fly to the heavens at 8 p.m.
Map and Parking Information
A map showing the memorial service site and parking areas is located at www.town.ridgway.co.us.
The primary parking area is north of the Event Center.
Overflow parking designated on the east side of Highway 550 at the Ridgway Christina Center and along Palomino Trail.
Media representatives should arrive by 4 p.m. and will park on the northeast side of the 4-H Barn.
